Salt Every 6–9 Months
That’s the whole maintenance schedule.

Built for RV owners who'd rather be camping than maintaining a softener

Freedom is a demand-initiated RV water softener. It meters the water you use and regenerates on its own, so you never run a manual cycle.

Manual softeners leave the timing to you. Wait too long and hard water starts scaling your plumbing and water heater. Freedom regenerates about every 350 gallons, before the resin runs out.

Because it runs on its own, cycles never get missed and hard water doesn’t slip through between them.

Your only jobAdd salt every 6–9 months. Freedom handles the rest.

  • Add salt every 6–9 months
  • 20″ footprint fits a standard utility bay
  • Runs on 30-amp or 50-amp hookups

The only RV water softener that maintains itself

Most RV softeners make you run brine cycles by hand and guess when they’re due. Freedom meters every gallon, regenerates when the resin needs it, then rinses itself and goes back to service.

What is hard water doing to your RV right now?

Most campground water is hard. Here’s what it does to an RV over time.

fws heater
Scale build-up in your water heater
Minerals coat the heating element, so it works harder and wears out sooner.
fws faucet
Reduced water pressure over time
Deposits narrow pipes and clog shower heads, so flow drops.
fws soap
Soap & shampoo don’t work properly
Soap and shampoo barely lather, and skin and hair come out dry.
fws plumbing
Hidden damage to plumbing & appliances
Deposits build up inside faucets, valves and appliances until something needs replacing.
What hard water costs RV owners

$1,500 – $3,000
Plus plumbing repairs, descaling and new fixtures

Choose your Freedom

Soft water only, or soft and filtered?

Freedom softens water. It doesn’t remove taste, odor or chlorine. The Carbon Upgrade adds carbon inside the same tank, with the same footprint and automatic regeneration.

Standard
Softening resin · polishing
Carbon Upgrade
Carbon filtration · softening resin · polishing
How the upgrade works

Both versions use the exact same tank, valve and brine tank. In the Carbon Upgrade, half of the softening resin is replaced with activated carbon. Water passes through the carbon first, then the resin.

The trade-off is capacity. Half the resin means half the softening between regenerations, so it regenerates about twice as often. That happens automatically, so nothing changes for you.

The carbon gets repacked every 1–3 years depending on use. The resin doesn’t need it.

Three levels of water. Pick where to stop.

Each level adds to the one before it. Every level starts with Freedom.

Level 1 · every tap
Soft water
Freedom RV Water Softener
Removes hardness minerals so scale stops forming. Better showers, spot-free dishes, and protection for plumbing and the water heater.
Does not change taste or odor.
Level 2 · every tap
Soft + filtered
Freedom with Carbon Upgrade
Carbon inside the softener tank removes chlorine, taste and odor from all the water entering the RV, showers included. About 90% of bottled-water quality.
Trade-off: regenerates twice as often, automatically.
Level 3 · kitchen faucet
Drinking water
Liberty 4+ (+ Titan Water Selector)
A separate 4-stage under-sink system on its own line. An ultrafilter membrane reduces lead, cysts and PFAS, then the water is remineralized.
Titan lets your existing faucet switch between soft and drinking water at the press of a button.
Add-ons
Valve Cover
Valve Cover
Fiber-reinforced composite cover that snaps over the Smart-Logic valve and control board. Keeps dust, moisture and stray hands off the wiring. Pops off for service.

Liberty 4+ Drinking System
Liberty 4+ Drinking System
A separate 4-stage system (sediment, carbon, ultrafilter membrane, remineralizing) that mounts under the kitchen sink on its own line. It reduces chlorine, sediment, lead, cysts and PFAS, then adds minerals back. Finer filtration than the Carbon Upgrade. Freedom still does the softening.

Titan Water Selector
Titan mounts under the sink and feeds your existing kitchen faucet, so you skip a second drinking faucet. Press the button for Liberty 4+ drinking water. Release it and you’re back to softened water for washing. Requires the Liberty 4+.

Frequently asked questions

Top off the salt about every 3 months with normal use. Use standard water softener salt pellets. Table salt can hurt performance and shorten the system’s life.
No. Service flow is 10 GPM, well above what an RV’s fixtures draw at once, so showers and sinks keep their normal pressure.
It’s the only RV water softener that regenerates on its own, with no manual cycles. The warranty covers the control head and valve for 5 years and the brine and media tanks for 10.
